Drone & Aerial Survey Sydney

Some sites are too large, too steep, or too difficult for traditional ground surveys. That's where drones come in. Using professional UAV photogrammetry, we capture high-resolution aerial imagery and process it into accurate 3D models, orthophotos, and topographic maps - covering hectares in hours instead of days.

Survey from the Sky

Our professional drone surveying service uses professionally operated UAVs equipped with high-resolution cameras to capture overlapping aerial images of your site. These images are processed using photogrammetry software to create georeferenced 3D models, orthophotos (distortion-free aerial maps), and digital terrain models. This technology is particularly valuable for large development sites, quarries, stockpile measurements, civil infrastructure projects, and difficult terrain where ground access is limited or dangerous. Under the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998, commercial drone operations require Remote Pilot License (RePL) certification and appropriate insurance. Our pilots hold all necessary qualifications and operate within CASA regulations including airspace restrictions around Sydney Airport and other controlled zones. The accuracy of drone surveys depends on ground control - we establish surveyed reference points on site, then use these to georeference the aerial data. For topographic mapping and volume calculations, accuracy typically matches traditional ground surveys for medium-scale projects. Deliverables include high-resolution orthophotos (georeferenced aerial images), digital terrain models for contour generation, 3D point clouds for engineering design, and volumetric calculations for earthworks or stockpiles. We can survey sites from 1 hectare to hundreds of hectares, producing maps and models that integrate with CAD, GIS, and engineering design software. Common applications include subdivision planning, quarry volume monitoring, solar farm layouts, civil infrastructure design, and development site documentation.
